Thanks for the help, but neither one worked for me (ctrl and the mouse wheel or ctrl and the + or - key). I am getting used to the new format tho, so long as I get my dose of leverguns I guess font size doesn't matter much! Thanks anyway.

That old photo is from a tintype, tintypes came out of the camera "backwards" ie: mirror reversed. This is one reson Billy the Kid was considered left handed....that famous photo of him was a tintype that made it appear that way.

I read way way back that the A and B were actually which assembly line winchester made the rifles on. Up to the 80000 number they were made on the "A" assembly line, after they were mostly made on the "B" assembly line.

Depending on how dull you want the finish, you may want to consider Birchwood Casey stock sheen, which is a mild buffing compound. Walmart usually has it in the guncare section, along with cold blues, gun oils, etc. I've used it to cut down gloss, but it wont make it real dull.

I use it all the time. Mostly deer tallow but am currently experimenting with beef tallow. Current recipe is 1 1/2 parts paraffin, 1 1/2 parts tallow, and 3/4 parts beeswax, all by volume. This is an original recipe from the 1880's, I believe the US govt used this, but would have to check my sources...
