I always wondered how the threshers didn't get a good fire started in the wheat field in the dry of summer and burn up everything. They must have cleared off a space. Those guys worked for pennies a day doing some hard old serious work, yet they got by somehow.

Today I treated myself to some ammo, figured it was not going to hurt to beef up inventory a bit. No sales tax, no delivery charge---Got some American Eagle .357 158 grainers for 19.80 a box of 50, got some more in same brand 44 mags, 240 grainers at 33.50 a box of 50. I have always shot the 405 grain Remingtons, 1300 feet per second I think it is. I hope I need not start worrying that I'm a dangerous man afield with that, or at a range, got 3 different ones that havn't blown up so far. You see this stuff and it makes you wonder.

Had a raccoon tearing up my corn patch couple nights ago. One of those will fall pretty easy to a regular old .22 long rifle, pretty shocking it has that much power.

Here in Kansas where I'm at near Abilene, we got maybe 2 or 3 inches, but somehow on the open wheat fields all around my hose it blows and dumps on our road off the farm. Had to remove a biunch of snow Sunday just to drive out of here, almost bare everywhere else. Good exercise I guess.

You need to figure a way to filter that beer after the experiment is over, seems like a waste. Maybe drink the beer first, fill the bottles back up with Mountain Dew, it looks like beer, no one will know
