We've been playing quite a bit with a couple of Lyman 21's the last couple of years. They don't call 'em Climbin' Lymans for nothing!! We haven't had much luck with getting them to print very good groups so far. Not sure if we are having rifle or sight issues as of yet, but are suspecting the sights...

You are aware aren't you that the belt-buckle guns had a stud on the back side which is necessary to keep it in the buckle? A normal FA mini-revolver won't work as-is in the buckle. See photo..

I disagree with that statement. I believe that the major benefit to longer barrels is the longer sighting radius.

I've never owned a 7MM Mag, but my 25-06 will probably never hunt deer again while I have it...coyotes yes, but probably not deer. It just ruins too much meat and makes too much mess for my taste. I'll stick with something slower and heavier thank you.

Hornady 1-shot is a spray on lube. And I intentionally get it inside the case necks for easier sizing. Even though it says that it "Will not harm powder or primers" I believe they meant that it won't contaminate them after it has thoroughly dried...some of our loads obviously hadn't enough...

Just curious...but I have seen quite a few lo-walls chambered for the 22 short. Some of them in configurations similar to your Ballard. So what type of competition were these used for??? Nicely Done!!! Quite the rifle there. I use IMR-4064 as most on here also do. Don't like the Hornady bullet, prefer the Barnes Original if you can still find them. If not try the Hawk bullet. I like the 220 gr. slug personally. As for dies...Redding hands down. CCI Bench Rest primers. Ed Have fun!!
