If you doubt the scale, mark one bullet...weigh, and then weigh another, then weigh the marked bullet again and note any differences. Then weigh two bullets, then go back to the first, again note differences. Do this several times changing the weights, but always going back to the first marked bulle...

Because Blue Book says they are worth a premium in that caliber...or at least they used to...personally I think the 32-40 is much harder to come by. But as I've known for some 25 years, Blue Book generally doesn't have a clue. :evil:

Personally, If you look at the two major World Wars, larger calibers in general won out over smaller. The Germans favored 9mm vs our .45's. The Germans favored the 7mm vs ours and Britain's and the Russian's 30's. So the track record IMO leans toward bigger. The wars we consider as draw's were .30 c...

Run them on a lathe, not a mill. May need a sharp pointed small boring bar to get in flush with the case head, and reverse rotation. Should be a piece of cake. Do you have the dwgs for both cases? My interpretation of the post was that there was only DP markings on the rifle. He wondered later if there were another hole in the receiver due to the later post. If there were only the DP markings, perhaps people who are up on Enfields would know this, but the average shopper and shooter wouldn't....

Unfortunately they are a pest around here. Federal laws prohibit doing anything with even rogue geese which are causing problems..even for the local law enforcement. Ackley's books have a lot of .348 base case wildcats. IIRC, everything from .30 Caliber and up. Ackley had his own version of the 45 X 348, but if I remember right, he said that the Alaskan version was better. I think that the .35 version would be the cat's meow personally.

Just for the record, the Peacemaker version I had was dead on for windage and elevation. It didn't need any kentucky windage. Joe Mine too.
