Re: The Big Bee--Marlin 336 Cowboy

An unaltered, minty condition 336 Cowboy in 30-30 would, in my estimation, fetch somewhere north of $1500 and could go considerably north of there if sold during the right time of the year. There have been no recent sales on gunbroker, which gives you an idea of their scarcity and/or the love that t...

Re: Fixed 4X recommendations?

A nice, clean used Leupold 4x. Should be able to score one for <$150.

Re: opportunity for trade 1950 Model 99

Interesting. You are right. It is an 99 EG. But the forearm has been replaced with the forearm from a post-war 99 R (That sling "eye" and the large forearm are the dead giveaway) and, as you point out, it is non-factory drilled and tapped. It will make a fine shooter, but it has no collect...

The best recipe I've tried (and I've tried a lot). It comes from Alton Brown, my favorite Food Network personality. Its a little involved, but includes cooking the custard mixture (a good safety feature) and produces a very creamy, smooth ice cream. Here is the link: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recip...

Not off kilter if you were from Nebraska. We Nebraskans have, unfortunately, come to expect such cries for attention from Chambers. He has been doing it for over 30 years as a state senator. Term limits are about to put an end to his LIFE in public service (and as a huge pain in the a** to public po...
