Thanks for the replies. It is new in the box, so maybe it will get easier with use. If I cock the hammer before I work the lever, the resistance isn't there.

Here is a terrible picture(it's the only one I have) of an old 12ga Stevens 335 I got for a song because the first 4" of the barrels were rusted beyond use. I had a friend cut it down to 19". Now it's a favorite.

A guy at work brought me his laptop with this Antivirus XP 2008 on it. He didn't have his restore CD or any money for software; but I was able to get rid of it by downloading Super Antispyware. http://www.superantispyware.com/ It's a free download. Thought it might help someone.
