Is the rear mount on that scope adjustable for various distances, or do you set it and forget it? Handirifle, The scope is a hundred year old Stevens and has external adjustments built into the mounts. After all these years, the whole sha-bang works great. Junior, I am nice, but not very patient---...

Back Yard Gun Muffler

Dudes & Fellow Shootists, I post these pics from time to time to educate newcomers on how they can shoot in their backyard without disturbing the neighbors. I am sure it can be scaled up or down according to your preferences. It is made of a series of baffles made from 3/8 plywood all stuffed in...

The problem with most American shooters is that most guys are downright cheap. They want a perfectly fitted and polished gun that shoots ragged holes at 200 yards for $400. Can't be done in a cheap way. We HAVE the craftmanship, but hey, we are capitalists at the finest, and nobody is gonna work for...

The 45 AR is the rimmed version of the 45 ACP. You gotta have a 45 ACP Revolver to be able to use them. Nada on the 45 Colt gun unless you have a fitted 45 acp cylinder. It was developed so the case can be extracted from the cylinder by using the extractor rod without having to insert the 45 acp rou...

I don't like the Cimmarons. Not because of their shootability but because of the automatic oiling system filled with olive oil. It gets all over my hands, clothes etc. I like Rem-Oil- its made in the USA.-------Sixgun

Like Terry says, long range shootin' with a sixgun is no big deal. Like Elmer Keith said, its the true test of ammo and revolver. I regularly shoot out to 200 meters and it takes little effort to hit a 10" gong 4 out of 6 times with regular production Colt SAA's, Ruger SA's, Smith DA or any qua...

I would have to say my 1892 in 32-20. Its good to shoot at home because of the low noise. Very accurate even though it was produced in 1893. Cheap to shoot also. It has logged over 6K rounds. Handgun? Thats a toughy as I have many "working" sixguns but the one that (other than my 642 carry...
