Anyone else wish they had bought a dozen 336's when they were $200 at Wallyworld?
Started looking around to see whats available for a project where I plan to commit sacrilege on a 30-30 with a suppressor, taclight, red dot etc etc and looks like best I can do is a Rossi for around $800. Little late but have my own Linebaugh story to share. Was visiting a friend who lived near John and knew him well. I had just bought a Ruger SRH in .480 with the 7 1/2 barrel. I really disliked that barrel length so we drove over to Johns shop to see if he would cut it down. Before he would even loo...

I have a couple of M1As, but I've been looking at the AR-10s, FN SCAR, and a couple others. I know we're mostly lever actions guys here, but several of us do go to the Dark Side, now and then. The various AR-10 platforms have poor parts interchangeability ... especially in the magazine catch area. I would stick with the platforms that conform to the SR-25 mag style. I don't know why Armalite did the thing with the M1A mags. It seems like there were plenty of original AR-10 waffle mags fl...

Sold my JM SS Guide Gun years ago, still have 1895M, but really liking the looks of the new ones and hoping they are better than the Remlins. although i would like to do an AR -10 comparison to my roller-locker . . . For accuracy, even a PSG1 can't touch an AR10. I'm pretty sure the fluted chamber and stamped receiver is the reason. As far as durability, be hard to beat the G3 I think. Oh Yeah. I'll concede the accuracy difference. Altho...
