New old 94 .32 Special...
Brought my latest impulse buy home Saturday...a Winchester '94, .32 Special, made in 1939...Used, and shows it's age some, but the bore shines like new, it locks up tight, action is very smooth and the wear on the blue looks good to me.. the BAD THING - it had been drilled for a side mount scope, th...

Re: So a guy at work asks me about .44 Mag revolvers...
The old 29-2 was one of the smoothest revolvers made by anyone ever. A LOT were bought after the Dirty Harry movies, and a lot were quickly sold after firing a few rounds. I was lucky enough to have grabbed a few of them over the years, but $200 is like getting one for free. Please tell that guy tha...

The SN prefix is G, indicating 1950. The SC model "Short Carbine" has a 3/4 length mag tube and a 20" barrel, plain walnut stock with a fat fore end. The blue on this one is great considering its age and the wood is very high quality. http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk10/dogngun/DS...

In the late 1970's, I bought a trapdoor Springfield rifle that seemed like it had been made from parts- I kind of thought it was a Bannerman's rifle. Had the Buffington rear sight, and it shot very well with Remington factory loads, and with handloads using a .456 round ball thumb pressed into the b...

OK, here's what I know - they were made in Towanda, New York, by Buffalo Arms Corp, which made M1919 Browning machine guns for the RAF and for US military in WWII...These guns were made till maybe 1980 or so, and only 10,000 were made.
