Tri the FP with original sight before installing the Firesight. IMHO the Firesight is too bright, and you may find it easier to shoot well with a standard bead or post.

The mod 88 doesn't have the inferior or simpler qualitity that is sometimes connected with post-64 Winchester. Metal work is still excellent on my own m 88 from 1969, and and it can compete with my my pre-war Sauer shotgun or my previous Mannlicher-Schoenauer in finish. Stock design may admittedly b...

By the way, old hotguns deliver the best patterns with fibre wad loads. Plastic wads pattern too tightly to be useful.

It would be interesting how they define a "gun crime". If it is illegal to have ammo in your home without permission, it is a "gun crime" if the police should get to know that you have some old worn cartridges left from grampa's shotgun, which was sold fifty years ago. It doesn't...

I load that bullet with 34 grs of Norma 200 for my Win 94 BB. It goes out with some 2000 - 2050 fps and groups about 2 inch at 100 yards. I have not managed to shoot any game with it yet, so I can't tell anything about the effect on game.
