great help here!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did not know the Lyman did not have windage adjustment. That eliminates that choice. I lean towards the Marbles, just for nostlgia, but may go to the Winchester sight since it is going on a Winchester. I will have to look at the tang again. I am pretty sure I looked at this before I bought it, and...

I will try to get some posted. I know what I am doing around guns, computers are a totally different matter. I have not taken the gun out of its box since I got home. I may still be a little in shock. As I traveled to Scheels, I was worried that the gun would have already been sold when I got there....

New toy today....new questions...........
I posted recently, asking for feedback on a lever gun for cowboy silhouette shooting. I got some good info. It came down to cost for ammo and components, and a finding a gun I liked, at the right price, and having the funds in hand, all occurring at the same time for a change. I will not be doing th...

some great help, & more questions...................
Flat or curved butt????? I/m too big for one of those really narrow curved butts I sometimes see on the older guns. I have no problem with the ones I listed that I already own. Is one butt shape (no dirty minds please) an advantage over another????? How about weight distribution????? A full mag gun ...

Cowboy Silhouette questions.........
I want to try my hand at this sport. I need to buy a gun. I already own a Winchester 9422 in 22LR, I have a 92 in .357, one in 32-20, and on in 38-40. I also have an original 1886 in 45-70. I have most bases covered. What I desire, and want input on, is another gun in 30-30, 32 Win. Special, or 38-5...

Re: No more Ruger Leverguns...?
They lasted a lot longer than a Second Lt. in Vietnam !!
Sorry, but I thought they were ugly !!
Then again, I always thought the Savage lever guns were ugly.
Now I wish I had a classic example of one !!

Re: San Pedro Saddlery
He has been behind a while now, and some folks got pretty mad at him. I too think he is honorable, and will get caught up. If it is not an affront to this post, you might want to check out WM Brown Holster Company in Tombstone, Arizona. I have a whole rig made by him that I have loved. I have since ...

Re: Went to a gun show today and ticked off the wife.
I tried to get the "Sack-Ups" company that makes those nice silicone impregnated gun sleeves to make some with my saying on it. "My wife doesn't know about this one." That should solve all our problems...right?? Actually, I have it pretty good around here. First, I quit smoking w...

Re: Questions: M94 for silhouette
I own a Winchester (Miroku) in 357 Magnum. It is very accurate, and has been my cowboy action shooting gun for the last seven years. I also own a pair of 92's, one in 38-40, and one in 32-20. I have the pstol cartidge category covered. Since I own a 9422, I also have the rimfire category covered. I ...

Re: Questions: M94 for silhouette
I do already own a Winchester Model 1886 in 45-70. I really don't need all the extra recoil, plus the gun lettered to 1888, so I don't want to put a ton of rounds through it. I don't know much of anything about the 38-55. Any good on-line places to read up on it??? I have been leaning towards the 32...

Questions: M94 for silhouette
I want to try cowboy rifle silhouette shooting. There are three classes, and I have two covered. I still need a rifle caliber gun. I cannot decise on caliber. Here are my choices: 32WS, 38-55, 7x30 Waters, 30-30. I have listed those in order, my favorite listed first. NOW...is my thinking correct?? ...

Re: I won't buy a NEW Ruger...........
Nor will I buy any movie or music by an anti-gun entertainer (which limits me more than only buying used Rugers!)[/quote] I managed music stores for quite a few years. We had CD's DVD's, VHS, and more. Certain entertainers never got put in the rack. The first one I omitted was "Hanoi" Jane...

I have not had any issues........
I am the buyer for the hunting/fishing department in the store I work at. The only issues I have had getting ammo is .223 and 7.62x39. SP ammo is 7.62x54 is tough also. The end of the season has come and gone. Once the SHOT Show is over, the entire cycle starts over. We don't stock ammo heavily righ...

I won't buy a NEW Ruger...........
Ever since Bill Ruger backed the hi-cap magazine ban, and a couple other anti-gun measures, I have NEVER bought a NEW one. I have bought a couple used, that way the factory does not get any of my money. This may sound foolish to some, but if gun owners can't stay united, we just make it easier for t...

Happy with my Miroku 92
I have been very happy with my Miroku 92 Winchester. I used it for over 5 years of cowboy action shooting. Always goes bang, so never an issue there. Mine is also very accurate. I do prefer a tang safety to a crossbolt in the receiver. One issue I did encounter, it is somewhat picky on what it feeds...

Thanks for the tips...........
I was already looking for a USED commemorative. I realize how the value drops once they are shot. I really don't want to push an old one too much. I tend to shoot them more sparingly. I already own an 1886 in 45-70, a 92 in 38-40, another 92 in 32-20, plus a 9422. Thanks again. Good Shootin!! DarryH...

great start............
Thanks for a great start.
I was pretty sure there was one or two other 94 commemoratives also in this caliber.
Maybe they were carbines and not rifles??
Thanks again.

looking for 32WS info
I am starting a quest for 94 Winchester in .32 Winchester Special caliber. I prefer a 26" barrel, but would buy the right 24" barreled gun. I plan on shooting cast lead bullets in Cowboy Silhouette matches. I'm no "gamer", I just want a rifle to have fun with. The info I am looki...
