Anytime I travel more than about 10 miles I put a 10” Colt M4 with a binary trigger along with a half dozen 30 round P mags in the back seat of the Jeep plus my 38 in my pocket and usually a 1911 in the cup holder. And your buddy with the Taurus…..he fired all five shots without a mechanical issue?...
