lever action gunsmith in CA?
hi....i'm in San Diego and would like to find a gunsmith nearby with a good rep to look at/repair my m94 Winchester. The problem is that when i'm closing the lever(chambering a round) the action gets a little "tight" right as the bolt closes and the latch engages. When this occurs the leve...

Re: reloading the 32 special
mines a carbine. I use a Lee bullet seating/crimp die. I seat all my bullets first, then adjust my die to crimp in a separate operation. Works for me....Mike

Re: reloading the 32 special
my 32 Special is a 1942 Winchester. I've had it since I was 12 yrs old....some 47 years and before that it was my grandfather's gun. I shoot 170 gr FNBB(no gas check) cast bullet sized .322 over 15 grs 4759. This gets me 1600 fps with no recoil and wants to go in the same hole all day long.......Mike

I shoot it mostly at the range now. It wears a lyman tang sight and a XS post fro...

Re: Peep sight on a pre 64 Winchester?
my 1942 Winchester was not drilled and tapped for a reciever sight either so I went with the lyman tang sight. It worked with the factory front sight pretty good. I changed the front sight to a XS post type(.100 wide with a .040 white stripe). The post front sight lets me index elevation more precis...
