Yeah, I dont think they have made that ammo since WWII. I roll my own using 38 Super brass, exact same case. I have three NOS boxes of 38 ACP brass but no need to use it.

I have a soft spot for my Colt 1903 in .38 ACP ".38 rimless smokeless" it says on the slide. :D Has been in the family since about 1920 or so, I take it out and shoot it every so often in honor of the previous owners.

.38 Super is just a .38ACP with more powder in it.

That's a 1950's television. You must be too young to remember Howdy Doody and the Lone Ranger. :D Haw! :lol: Our family didn't get tv until about 1958 , I was gone in the AF by then. But you're right, I dont recall ever seeing those two programs, must have been after my time as a kid. :D

Before I throw the case in the polisher, I give it a little 2-second twist with some 4-0 steel wool, works great, cuts my polishing time by about 2/3. I use Lyman media and thrown in a tablespoon of ColorBack auto polish.

I am about 1000 miles from him, gave him basic lessons when he was here visiting. We call and talk as he progresses, we will both be in Yuma for the winter in a couple of months and I will get him well tuned up at that time. Immediate problem is solved, he threw away the cases as I suggested. :D

I have a Rossi .357 that gave me no end of feeding fits when I first got . Finally, a guy loaned my his Lee Factory Crimp die and all the problems magically went away. I am using the Berry's plated 125 grain bullets.
