Scout scope rail for marlin1895 cowboy

Thought I saved the site ,but alas no. I'm looking to scout scope a 1895 cowboy octagon barrel, found the perfect one (only one) lol did not get around to order it and now I can't find it. Had a iron sight built into the rail in case you want to remove scope. Anybody got a clue for me? Thanks

Recommend water pot for atop wood stove

Folks that run a wood stove for heat, question for you. I've seen pictures that show a pot on the stove to provide some humidity to counteract the dry heat that the stove gives off. What would be the best bet material wise (cast iron,porcelain etc) shape and size?

I just youtubed the disassembly of the 94 :shock: 86 parts or so. Seems straight forward enough, so I will give it a shot. The gent I bought the rifle from said there's about 50 rounds down the tube. Also have a Williams foolproof coming from Midway :D

A Buck esquire 3" folder ,35 years of guttin. Now for skinning ,caping and puttin up fur, I use a poultry farm butcher fixed blade. The factories discard the used knifes where they find their way to me for a buck a piece. I get them at trappers conventions. Cheap and sharp.

Griff when you compare the two actions ,the 1886 big robust and 1894, nuff said. The 480 in the smaller action using a pistol cartridge, that is efficient with a short barrel has a place. Let's not talk need 8) Good news about your thumbs, would not able to cock the hammer on yer levers without em :D
