Browning parts needed for 1886 rebounding hammer replacement
Looking for what Browning parts are needed to rid the Winchester[ Jap made] 1886 of the rebounding hammer. I just received the Winchester catalog in the mail and see they will offer the 1886 short rifle!

Surefire 6P . It's my first experience with a LED light. Amazing how that small a light ,lights up a room! I have it mounted on my AR in a Larue mount, when it's not on my belt.

Nice rifle Joe, you said the forearm folds down into a vertical fore grip? Wow! I like the Federal 22mag ammo as they use a real Speer bullet instead of the usual 22lr pill. I use them from a Marlin bolt rifle that is scary accurate. On a side note are you following the BS from your old neighborhood...

Here in NY the State troopers will hang with the game wardens at check stations. Where the trooper can not search your car without a warrant, the GW can . So now anything illegal that was out of sight and the GW uncovers, it is now in plain sight for the trooper to act on.

Good for you! There is one Tandy store in my state and it is a 10 hour drive from me The kids got me the Tandy Deluxe starter set for Christmas ,got it online, and the holster making Al Strohman book. Would be nice to roam around the store for leather and tools.

This is from Gary Reeder's "Gun Notes" ."Winchester is bringing back the 1886 Short Rifle and the 1892 carbine for 2011. The 1886 will be chambered in 45-70 while the 1892 comes chambered in 45 long colt, 44-40, 44 magnum and 357 magnum".

I fired off a email to Taylors .I am interested in the 26" octagon barrel 1886. They have them on order and get a few month to month. Their asking price for that config is $1615.00. I know the Browning's are "foreign" made but are the Spanish[?] guns worth the money?

While using Unique do you need a filler? There is alot of case left with only 10-11 grains.

Nice rifle glad you got to keep it! I had Dave do a Basic Marlin upgrade on my 1895 Marlin. He lengthened the throat as it was needed to be able to use my favorite bullet, the cast Performance 460gr WFNGC. The trigger and feeding are fantastic!

It's a Marlin 1895 in 50AK. I have been shooting the Cast Performance 525 grain cast bullet with great success :D I had a 375 grain.510 mold made for my Blackhawk in .510GNR .
