This is an answer to ajmd. #1 the spring kit is only about half of it. you have to pull the rifle all the way down and clean fully. then, you have to go in and remove burrs, and smooth out the machine marks and scratches. #2 the spring kit replaces the main spring for the hammer with a lighter one. ...

mine had a trigger return spring pull of 7 pounds. gunslinger spring kit, 2 pounds, trigger pull 3 pounds, action rack of 4 pounds.

nope have not shot it yet.

Rossi Ranch hand. No batf letter, per rossi they dont include. the good, action is very smooth, wood to metal fit quite good, metal finish quite good. not so good, wood is typical rossi outhouse brown. trigger pull should work for 155 howitzer.

initial observations only. more to come.

I see on a couple of sights loads for 2400 in the 45-70, but there is no mention of filler. Since I know that 2400 will JUST fill a 44 mag, shoud filler be used with smokeless if it doesnt at least fill the case 75%. bullets will be cast only in these loads.
