170 core lokt +1 Works good in 30-40 Krag, 303 Savage, 300 Savage, 7.5X55 Swiss, reduced load 308, 30-06 as well. Just a good, inexpensive bullet to have around in bulk in my experience. I miss the days when I could buy the 'blemished' ones a thousand at a time from Midway for $40 something dollars...

Besides the obvious over head (taxes, rent, electricity, etc,) don't forget about the liability insurance these dealers have to carry. That is a good deal of the monthly nut they have to make in order to stay business.

I would opine that expansion is not the issue. quite the contrary … the concern has been over expansion with the bullet fragmenting. That and insufficient penetration when it does.

I have the brother USPS Inspector revolver to yours. I don't carry it often but it is one of my favorites.
