Not sure how much further you want to go but …… Harbor Freight has some nice, reasonably priced light bar. Remington rimfire rifle question

Many years ago now Remington introduced the model 522. I seem to remember a serious, wide ranging recall of the rifles over something or another. Then Remington (IIRC) dropped the 522 and introduced the 597 after just 4 years. My question is what was the issue with the 522? and how much parts interc...

I like them both but I shoot a lot more 170 grainers. I like to buy them in bulk and use them in 300 Savage, 30-40 Krag, 308 win, 30-06 & 7.5X55mm. Those round noses just make a good general purpose, for whatever you happen to be doing sort of bullet at light recoiling velocities.

As I get older I find myself focusing more on just a handful of firearms. I had a Chinese knock off of a Browning semi auto 22 that could be broken down, replaced that with a AR-7 (Charter Arms), replaced the AR-7 with a Marlin 70 Papoose and eventually replaced that with a Ruger 10/22 with a folding stock.
