No but I might need to for my M-96 in 8X56mmR.

Normally you need a .318 bullet and of course that is a bit hard to find so I thought I would use a .311 or .312 and patch it with some of that teflon tape used for gas fittings.

In your experience does that sound like something that should work?

Right around $400 in Mid Michigan (give as much as $25 - $35 for the sope unless it is something special like a Leopold or Weaver).

I have found that scopes do almost nothing for resale value while a set of receiver or tang sights add to resale value.
