That page shows 1,398/7,800 for the Bighorn and 1,076/8,050 for the Laramie. I was looking at the Laramie. Enjoy the truck. I'm just glad they finally brought a smaller diesel to the US.

That's with no accessories and a 150 pound driver. Put 4 230 pound guys in the truck and you have a whopping 306 pounds or cargo carrying capacit...

This is a lever guns forum but a lightweight AR or Mini 14 would do the trick. They are easily scoped, lightweight, rugged, easy to convert to .22, light weight ammo, and have all the power you will ever need for game in the Arkansas/Oklahoma mountains.

I have one and it is my favorite version of the 10-22. It is more accurate than my fixed barrel 10-22 and the bag it comes with is really nice and holds spare mags, ammo, even a small handgun.

You am also be able to use small sliver of wood (toothpick) as a small wedge. It will come back out when you take the fore end off again, but how often do you really do that? The inner tube solution sounds like it would work as well, but I have never tried it.

That's a good idea. I played around with filling the pit in the stock with epoxy. In my sample pieces it looked good, but it would have required too much sanding to get it level and off of the surrounding wood. O.K. I got it done. 3 coats of Watco, with a wet sand using P400 on the second coat, plus one coat of wax. It is not as glossy as the pics indicate, as there was strong overhead light. Update, Well, no one can accuse me of being quick, but I finally put the Midway order together and got it done. My rifle had a damaged front sight and a damaged base. Someone mangled the sight itself, and the base appears to be leaning ever so slightly. The old front sight was literally in danger or...
