Not sure if they will fit a 1894, but they do fit the Pumas from what I hear.oic0 wrote:Where do you buy those taurus tang sights and do they fit the 1894s? A $29 tang sight sounds awesome!

Re: OT - made my 1st business trip since my surgery
I should be getting my appointment made soon to have Discectomy done on two of my lower disks. Been having pain issues since about Jan/Feb. Cramp like pain in my left buttock, pain in my calf, thigh, basically my whole left leg. The sole of my left foot has lost some feeling, and I don't seem to hav...

Re: The 44 Mag Puma from Buds Guns arrived...
OK guys. The barrel is simply marked ".44 Magnum". Under the bottom tang its marked A. Rossi S.A., Made in Brazil. Meanc, I slugged the barrel for you ;) I was wanting to do this anyway - used a soft .44 Caliber (.454") ball. The grooves are .429 exactly. I didn't measure the lands -...

Re: OT: MAGTECH Ammo & Brass
I picked up a little over a 100 .44 Mag C.B.C stamped brass cases at the public shooting area outside of town earlier this year. Brass has been loaded about 7 times now with loads of 8-10grs Unique under either a 200gr RNFP, or 240gr LSWC, and show little wear except for the marks left by my 1892 ej...

Did you strip the stock or something? That wood looks nicer then mine; you can see the grain on yours. Mine is basically a solid brown and I don't think it is walnut.

I got my Rossi 92 on 29th October (a birthday present to myself) but have not shot it yet due to deer season and renovating the bathroom. No pictures posted due to PC problems, I am using an old laptop, but pictures and range report will come! I know I am going to enjoy it, it is a 44Mag with a 24&...

Re: Those with the NEW ROSSI Pumas - what's your opinion?
O.S.O.K., I was asking him if he had run into the same problems he did in this thread on a different forum. Same model of gun but different manufacturer. I would assume that since the Italian 92s have the same ejector setup as the Brazilian 92s, that if he was shooting heavy loads he might see the s...

Re: Rossie model 92
I did the same sight setup as Steve. The dove tails are a hair larger then normal. On my 20" (above) the front sight was a very tight fit with no shimming needed. The rear sight was a hair loose and required a shim. Piece of paper thickness and it was tight. My 16" was the opposite; the re...

Re: Those with the NEW ROSSI Pumas - what's your opinion?
I didn't have good luck with the Brazilians, two duds and I gave up trying. Others mileage does vary however so good luck. Best, Oly Have you tried shooting that new Chiappa .45 with heavy loads yet? You might get the same type of ejector imprints on the primer just like the Brazilian .44 did. Both...

Just changed the sights of my 16" .44Mag Puma last night. Might get a chance to go sight it in later today. Also changed out the sights of my 20" Puma last night; Marbles front, rear, and Tang. http://home.bresnan.net/~hanzerik/pics/Puma/Trapper%20Front%20Sight%202.JPG http://home.bresnan....

moved 16 times in the military. got good at. Still didn't like it. My prayers are with you. I have not moved that many times, 11 for me, PCS'ing, on-base to off-base, off-base to on-base, etc, etc. You get used to it, but like you said...still don't like it. Like COSteve said, one is never enough. I'm going to order replacement sights for the 20" tomorrow; Tang, front, and rear, and will save up a little to replace the sights on the 16" with a Marble's Bullseye rear, and a Marble's front. [SNIPPIC] Nice Rossi's. You must have taken photograph...

Re: Rossie model 92
Look behind your hammer; is there one or two screw heads. If there are two, then all you will need is the Tang Sight and the screw set COSteve posted. On a side note; if you order from Brownells, then set yourself up as a gunsmith when you create your account, you will get a decent discount on stuff...

Yep, I like my two Pumas, both in .44Mag. I am now wanting to pick up a Ruger SBH in .44Mag to go along with them, but I also want to get a 1895G in 45/70. I also want to get the type of Marble's sight setup COSteve (Still have the part numbers bookmarked somewhere) has on his 24" rifle. Decisi...

Fixed it. Yes it is supposed to feed the next round when the bolt closes. When I re-installed the left cartridge guide, I put the cartridge stop spring in wrong. But its all good now. I also found a screw for the right cartridge guide. All back together and will not be coming apart again unless it i...

Puma M92 Question About Feeding - Problem Fixed
I have a kind of weird question for you Puma 92 experts. My question is; when is the next round in the tube supposed to be fed unto the carrier, as the action is being closed, or as the action is slightly opened after being fully closed? I have two Pumas; 20" Oct barreled, and a 16" carbin...
