The conversion works with the standard pencil barrel but not with the larger bull barrel that I had installed. Thanks guys. Looks like 1-9 twist is a bit tight for what I have planned, but OUGHT to work. Just need to put it on paper to REALLY find out. BTW, the lead that I'm making the Lyman 225438 44gr LRN bullets out of is 1-16 alloy, which should be soft enough to mushroom at about 1k fps.

Standard 22LR rifling twist rate?
Anybody here know what the standard twist rate is for 22LR? Have a Mini14 in .223, and yes it is .223 not 5.56, with 1-9 twist that I was going to run 44.5gr cast lead bullets in SOMETIMES 22LR type velocity for going after squirrels or bunnies. TIA
