I got three Winchesters, a '41 M70 in 30Govt06, a '41 M94 and a '77 M94, one in 30WCF and the other in 30/30. The last slicker than snail snot, 'cause it's so loose, still locks up tight though. :D

Hornady still makes 86gr canelured jsp's. I haven't tried anything else, but if you have a supply of TrailBoss start at 9gr and work up to 11gr. DO NOT go over 11gr. FYI, the 11gr load will work for 86 up to 110gr bullets. HTH

I've got an 1854 Springfield rifle in maybe 50-70% condition with some rust around the reciever(?), the stock has some dings but is in fairly good shape and the barrel hasn't been cleaned in years. Anybody here have any idea what it might be worth? TIA

There was a inside burr on the screw head side of the forearm band on mine that left a scratch on the left side, so knew which side to put it back on. Thanks, claybob86. I've been sliding everything together without screws when pushing the barrel band screw through the barrel band. It just doesn't want to line up enough to screw it in. :(

Thanks guys. The screw is not the problem, it comes out rather easy. The problem is the sliding plate. Hopefully, over time with soaking, it will loosen up. If it does, it will take care of the problem of having the rear sight on the very top ramp notch for hundred yard shots. Just had a thought, do...
