Re: Let’s talk about shotguns for serious use.
I fairly recently saw a Donut Operator utube video of some cops come up on a four door pickup in a mall parking lot with some guys doing drugs. One cop, with a 12ga with buckshot, on the passenger side opened the door and told the kinda wasted driver NOT to reach for the gun in his belt! After telli...

Not much you can do about it. Besides, the main reason I use it is to keep the brass from flying everywhere! Other than that I keep the BCG in it. I've named it Casper. I just hope it doesn't get mad at anything!

Yup, if I was in your group I'd have fun playing with them too! Then again, if I couldn't play with them anymore, I'd just shoot a group on the same line that they were just to show them that they were shooting shotgun pattern groups. What was it Breaker Morant said just before the firing squad lit ...

Another alternative is looking into the KaliKey.com. Turns an AR into a straight pull bolt action. I've got both the original and the LoPro. Like the LoPro LOTS better since the charging handle is lots smaller. HTH

No, but it makes much more sense than 22LR, since 22WMR is .224! On the other hand, why not just download 223 to 22WMR velocities and change the buffer/spring to accommodate the change in pressures?

Sounds like a good idea. I've pulled 30 carbine FMJ bullets out of factory ammo and replaced with Speer 110HP bullets, you know, the swaged ones that they've made for decades. The GM Wildcat was called the FM-2. Bigger engine and taller tail to handle the extra power. Most of the Wildcats flying these days are the FM-2 variety as one guy bought a bunch of them after the war for some reason or other.

From the size of the copper cup they shouldn't have been larger than 110 or 125gr. Maybe the size of Lee's 105gr SWC.

That's not one of the Speer bullets, at least not the 146gr HP or 160 SWC. Doesn't look like something Speer made. Might be home made. The Speer bullets had a copper cup that covered the entire bearing surface. Wish they still made the 160 SWC one!
