With the approach speeds of the A-320, if the wind was that strong , the nose of the aircraft would have been pointed 70 degrees or so to the right. I would imagine max crosswind component of that aircraft was around 55knots or so. I don't know if they teach the cross controlled landing much anymore...

They don't make much money on the less inexpensive cars, so they try to sell you a much more expensive one so they can make more $$.

Went to find my daughter a car and trade in my old Cummins Dodge. Blue book is about $11K and they offered me $3K in trade!! Went elsewhere

Go to the store and get you some "dark" hot chocolate. LOT better than the milk chocolate stuff. You can even get you some "Dove" bites of dark chocolate and put about a half piece in your cup. Really good

For the bit of difference in money, I would go with the Savage, especially if you are wanting one of the Ultra hunters they are coming out with. Handies have a few problems now and then. My transfer bar came apart at the range one day. Was a pain to bring home to the shop to fix it.

90 meters is about 100 yards, and I usually sight in my rifles for 2.5" high at 100 yds. Some I go 3" high at 100yds, depending on the trajectory and what distance I expect.

I agree with Jayhawker. Impact velocity was too high. If they would have reduced the loads to around 2400fps for the BMG round, then things would have been different. Shoot a 405gr cast bullet out of a 45-70 (hypotheticially speaking only!!) at an Elk at 5 yds and it might disintigrate after minimal...

Shouldn't cost much more than $325 for the setup. You can pick up the Savage guns sometimes for around $150 and I believe Jess does the reboring/rechambering for $145. Add shipping both ways and you should be set to go.

First real lever was a 92 win in 25-20 with a sewer bore. Had it relined by V.M. Starr. Second was a Marlin 39A. Third was an 1895 Marlin. Still have all of them.

I believe that the results you show , is when you have reached a max efficiency load. You get diminishing returns with more powder and quite often, groups open up. You might not be at max load, but you are probably getting close to it.

Loctite "red" is a pretty stout item. You would need heat to remove the part. Make sure there is not any oil there or it probably won't work. Loctite stud and bearing mount is even stronger, I believe.

In case anyone might be interested, I think it would have been impossible to seat two 290gr SWC bullets in a 44 mag case.

When loading the ammo, I would take a bullet and put it in the mouth of the belled case, while in the loading block. Would also be tough to get two bullets in a case that way.

Also, if it is warm out, don't stretch the wire so tight it sounds like a guitar string being plucked. When it gets cold and the metal contracts, it will break!!. Take bandaids/antiseptic as you will shed some blood along the way.
