Picking up a new to me Winchester 64 chambered in 32 spl, and will be shipping it to JES just as soon as I get it home for a rebore to either 38-55 or 375 win.
I'd like to beable to shoot both cast and jacketed, and I tend to like speed, so which would be a better choice?

I wish this gun was chambered in either 284 Winchester or in 358, I already have a browning BLR in 284, so have another levergun shooting a very capable but different cartridge isn't all bad,,,,, can't wait to get the rifle, sent the money order and the FFL papers out in the mail today

I like my 5mm alot better then my 17hmr, I mostly just use it for around the barn yard, shooting critters that dont need to be around, groundhogs, coons skunks and stray cats the 5mm seems to thump them alot harder then the 17

My cousin still drives datsuns, he has seven of them stashed away in his barn, they run forever, and if you keep them out of the salt they dont rott too fast, amazing that those datsun cars built in the late 70's early 80's got 42 mpg, wish I could talk him out of 1 of the station wagons.

I have a 01 roadking with a 88 motor, It has a stage II big bore kit with cam, gear drive and a power commander, and screaming eagle pipes, it walks away from my buddies 96 incher, I believe the gear drive is the secret.

what size engine does your bike have? I have a 01 roadking with stage 2 big bore kit,makes it a 95 incher, some cam work, gear drive, and a power commander, it eats up stock 96 inchers, I dont see the need for more power on a bagger, but I'm sure a 127 " would be more fun

I've had 2 BLR's 1st 1 was a 308, only sold it off after I bought my 284 winchester, this gun will never be sold, with handloads it is basically running neck in neck with 7 mag velocity wise, for the critters I am going to hunt I see no need for any other caliber.

use a quality standard velocity target ammo in that gun and it will produce tiny little " bug holes " for you, while not quite as good as the winchester 52, it is still a fine rifle, try some wolf match target in it, its pretty decent target ammo, and wont hurt your wallet to bad, $50- $60...

I use SUPER LUBE, it doesnt evaporate like wd-40 does, doesnt seem to run either, so far I have had great luck with it, really works well for slicking up the actions

if you are going to mount a scope on it, you might want to go with the regular levergun, the golden boys are not scope friendly, because of the drop in the stock

I own 8 browning a-5's and 1 model 11 < english stock > there is a big difference between a 16 ga and the sweet 16, the 16 ga is built on a 12 ga. frame, the sweet 16 is built on a 20 ga frame, ventilated rib barrels for the sweet 16's sell for just about as much as the whole 12 & 20 ga. guns do.

I like the stingers and velocitors, in 22 LR, Im a fan of the 5mm mag also, dont know your laws but if limited to rimfire, I would get a 5mm mag, if centerfire and noise isnt a problem I would grab my 17 remington, the 17 remmy is very fur friendly
