That's terrible!

The safe must have been in a basement or a shed something. I've never seen a gun rust like, and I've seen some pretty sorry gun care (or complete lack of).

So far I'm the youngest at 42. Not a regular contributer but have been on here off and on since at least 2005 (diff user name originally).

Been shooting since about 7 and accompanied my dad hunting from probably younger than that. I'm pretty sure that the love of leverguns is in my DNA.

I've heard about summer parasites in rabbits, but hadn't heard about it being a problem with squirrels. We've had the June season for a few years now and I've eaten plenty of them without a problem.

When I was young, my grandfather told me about shooting an 8 gauge when he was young.

I had a 10ga stevens for years. shot deer and turkeys with it. I think the hevi shot turkey loads I shot were 2 3/8 oz !!

I have a break action 20ga that was made by CBC and imported by FIE in the mid 1980s I think. I've always thought that even though it was a 'no name' gun that it seemed very well made, and locks up nice and tight.

my dad bought a winchester model 120 ranger slug gun in around 1986 and hunted hard with it for 30 years, it received minmal care as it was a tool, and it never had a single problem. brought home a LOT of deer.

IIRC, that Jesse has to have at least .050" per side, at the muzzle, above groove dia. for a re-bore. So you need at least .475" or so, of muzzle diameter. I am sure he prefers more than that, but IIRC, that was the minimum. I would want at least .100" per side myself as at .050 and ...

Well, I cut the magazine tube down tonight and I'm pretty pleased with the way it looks and handles. I cut the tube to 9 1/2" and it ended up being about 9 7/16" after filing, etc. Extends past the forend cap about 1 1/2" and it holds 3 rounds just fine which is plenty for my uses. I ...

My really old SRC has it's magazine shortened to 4 round length. Was that way when I got it about 60 years ago.
