I usually carry a SS Ruger Security Six 4" loaded with 38 SPL +P for CCW (also in a Simply Rugged holster) for my daily carry. As I am only on 3 acres I don't carry a long gun on a daily basis but I have a single shot H&R 20 gauge and a 22LR bolt action out of the safe for various issues th...

I'm considering getting a 92 Winchester in 357 Magnum. Rossi no longer appears to currently manfacture one in 357. Has anyone had any experience or heard anythjng good or bad about the ones currently produced by Winchester?

I'm a Glock man through and through. My department recently switched to the SIG P320 in 9mm from a Glock 23 in 40 S&W. The SIG isn't bad but still too new and too untested in real world situations for me. Maybe it will grow on me. Still carry a G42 in 380 as a back up and either that or a G19 of...

In reference to my dad's post, we hunted up there several years ago, and in order to carry a handgun to hunt with you also had to purchase a handgun permit with your hunting license. May be able to purchase one and be good, but like he said call local LE to be sure.

Doc,
I could be wrong but I believe the correct term would be auditory exclusion. High stress situations and hunting situations one usually does not get the ringing in the ears (not that it doesn't do damage I am sure). At least that has been my limited experience in such situations.
