I've posted here before about firing a .44 mag round in my .45 Colt Blackhawk. I noticed the much louder report and opened the cylinder to find a swelled .44 m empty. It sits on a shelf at my loading bench, front and center at eye level to remind me that I am not infallible. Mac

I like the look of that laminate wood, however, that thumbhole doesn't look very comfortable or handy for a gun to be packed around in the woods. That's purely my opinion, based on the photo. I have no hands-on experience with those type of stocks. Kevin

What about going to the other extreme. For example, one of our police firearms instructors used terms such as "now you deploy your artificial illumination device" instead of "grab your flashlight". He also talked this way in normal conversation, believe or not. Kevin

I put the mic on some of the remaining bullets (Win.) out of the same bag. They measured .3085 or .309 depending on which spot checked at. They are slightly out of round, but I don't think that has to do with it. I also had some speer 100 grain plinkers left in a partial box. These grouped very well...

Hey Rusty, Yes, Ruger cast their name right into the side of the hammer head. They apparently were the only ones at the time who knew how to cast titanium. I bought this hammer in 2001. I do not think that current production Stilleto hammers have the Ruger name on them. Kevin

We had a Dollar Tree store open near us last year. They sell plastic boxes that I think are meant for shoes. They work great for me. They stack well and don't eat up space like coffee cans do. I would pick up five each time I went in to the store. Kevin
