Will, I am surprised to hear about poor reviews. The one I had indexed like a bank vault and seemed just as solid -- a lot nicer than the Lyman turret press I had prior. I agree with Doc that for the money the Lee is hard to beat. But the Redding felt to me like it would be in use a century from now.

I have read that small of the back has been banned by a lot of police agencies for the damage to the spine that can occur if you should happen to fall flat on the weapon. Fascinating. The only time I ever bent wood it was with clear vertical grain Douglas fir for gunwales on a pram. Used towels and boiling water. Kind of a mess.

After looking at other recent abominations, I don't think this one is the worst of the lot -- and Aero Precision makes some pretty good AR parts. What I can't abide is the skeletonized "chassis" butt stock that would seem ready to catch on just about anything. Horrible choice for brush.
