Earl, as someone who rarely casts more than 100 at a time, that's a pile of boolits! I have had one Arsenal mold -- in brass -- and loved that thing. I confess to having mostly Lee molds but when I use an Arsenal or one of Tom's Accurates, I feel like I stepped up from a Ford Pinto to a Lincoln Town...

Earl, you are one of the best and most meticulous casters I know of. I have had great luck with Sage for gas checks as well, although I am not sure how enthused I am about the aluminum checks I recently got from them. Not their fault -- it is the material.

I cannot see why I have such a fondness for bears. I've probably only seen about a dozen or 15 over the years. I'd like to have seen the clown that pulled down my loaded plum tree the night before I planned to pick it, and raked all the plums into his mouth ... :evil: :lol:

Interesting project all right -- and the nature of that barrel flex surprised me. Would love to see it set up for three-round burst mode. Will, one nice feature of the Lee is that you can turn the indexing on and off so that it will stay on the same station no matter how many times you raise and lower the ram -- or advance to the next die.

Will, I am surprised to hear about poor reviews. The one I had indexed like a bank vault and seemed just as solid -- a lot nicer than the Lyman turret press I had prior. I agree with Doc that for the money the Lee is hard to beat. But the Redding felt to me like it would be in use a century from now.

I have read that small of the back has been banned by a lot of police agencies for the damage to the spine that can occur if you should happen to fall flat on the weapon.
