For the record have you ever written a review on the BHA? Wondering what your opinion of it is after having it for a while. Would you do it again? I guess this post is really the only 'Review' I've posted on the BHA. It definitely IS on the "If I Could Only Have a Dozen Guns" list. Add a 32-20 leve...

Fun thread...!

I am so impressed that Sixula donated the gun he won fair-and-square back to Pitchy.

I have two Garands in 308, and they are both great shooters no problems. One is a 'tanker' style and the other has a match barrel and sights. I need to shoot that one more.... :(

Usually an OWB strongside. Same for all 3 of my normal CCW's - doublestack 1911 (ParaOrd-14), Taurus PT-92, and/or Ruger Redhawk 45 Colt/ACP - all 'big' guns, but rarely does anyone of significance spot them unless I wear too-short a sweater or polo-shirt. Where I live/work, being spotted is no big ...

Anyone here used 44 Mag 300 gr Hornady XTP's (or other 44-45 caliber XTP's) on deer or larger game...?

Mostly I'm curious as to what they do (compared to haed-cast) when try hit bone.

My 'rules' 1. I never pray for myself. Maybe that I can find the best path, but not to make my path easy. That seems selfish. 2. I almost* always pray that the outcome of a situation is what will in the end be the best for all involved, rather than that 'my' desired outcome will prevail. 3. I always...

Re: What is there to like about a 450 Marlin?

Versus a 45-70, it is sort of like a 32 H&R vs. a 32-20 Win. Straighter case, a bit shorter, standardized loads, no older, weaker guns to blow up accidentally, but ballistically the same as you get with the older cartridge in a modern gun with a modern load. Nothing wrong with one though; if you lik...

I've never minded a "full-size" handgun for CCW, but I do prefer the Taurus 92 over the Beretta 92 because of the 1911 style safety. I think the Beretta issue was blamed not on design but on a bad subcontractor or heat-treater or something; in other words it is supposedly a non-issue with current ma...
