Best way to start this is sitting in your home, dry fire practice! Get comfortable, take your time each shot. You'll see plainly how much the weapon moves after the trigger is released, lock time, sights gotta move some! I never did it with a pistol, but I'm sure it'd work even more on dry fire pra...

The BIG advantage of the 1911 and the HiPower is that they can be brought into action very quickly with one hand. If you don't like the loop over the barrel, you can use the Uncle Mike's front sling mount, which clamps on the mag tube as a two-piece. . I really like 'shooting steel' for that reason - no spotting scope needed. Kind of like shooting Tannerite out at 500 yards or so, but less expensive. Challenge Targets has some of those that make a distinctly different 'tone' when you hit the vitals vs the rest, or the 'bad guy' vs the 'hostage'....
