Re: Rifle for AL hogs
I'd consider whether I was hunting from a stand or blind, still hunting, or doing a walk and stalk. Some guns are not fun to carry for hours on end. Will you have have a rest or be able to take your time aiming a well-placed shot or will you be shooting at an animal on the run inside a 3-second wind...

The world would be incrementally better if people would mind their own danged business. I recognize that animal abuse is a problem and I realize that such things upset people. Life is rough. Clean it and then slug the barrel.
Make sure the barrel is in shooting condition, i.e., rifling and barrel crown, etc. and then make sure you're feeding it bullets of a diameter that it can use effectively.

We were in the local Cabelas today, and I decided to look at their .22 ammo. I was shocked to see Aguila .22 target ammo for $2.99 a box. I grabbed a brick and when I got to the register it rang up as $2.49 a box! I went back and got 20 more boxes at that price. Didn't need them, but good ammo that...

I've bought, sold, and traded silver for decades. Feels like a payday for some reason. Then, a few months ...

Trump has little or nothing to do with either the price of ammo or firearms. Prices for AR's peaked in 2013 and declined rapidly and have leveled off to current pricing since 2015. As for rimfire ammo it was always a case of supply and demand. Once rimfire hoarding and huge military contracts which...
