I wanted to improve myself and give something back to my community. There ia lot to learn in Masonry and through it the outside world. One of the tenets of Masonry is "Making good men better" Is he still alive? If so ask him about it. It's not a secret but there are some secrets in Masonry...

I bought my 1st .44mag back in October from a friend. A 629 with 6" barrel. I paid 500 for it, seems like a very sweet deal. Although it forced me to buy a SS levergun in .44mag.

I've sold 3 guns in 30 some years, none of them I regret. I did have an American made SS Luger stolen from me and a Coonan .357 magnum. I wasn't able to replace the Luger but I did the Coonan. That Coonan is worth quite a bit more now :)

I bought a Taurus .22lr 9shot revolver that did nothing but jam. It went back to Taurus and they adjusted the barrel, the cylinder yoke and replaced the cylinder.

With issues like that I don't plan on ever buying another Taurus.

I keep a pair of 9mm semi-autos stashed in the house, 16+1 in each of them. They live in wall safes with 4 digit electronic locks. Easy to get to if needed.

Well since my original pot back in Sept. I've added 2 S&Ws to the stable. A 586 and a 629 both with 6" barrels. The 586 is a nickel K or L frame .357 magnum and the 629 is a stainless steel .44 magnum.

I'm looking to trade the 586 for a 686. Any takers? :D

The hundred and a few bucks isn't a big deal. I hate losing that lovely gun, it has a really nice walnut stock and shoots well. Plus the trigger group on those older models are better then the lawyerized versions now produced.

A few weeks ago I posted that I'd bought a 10/22 from a pawn shop, a nice walnut stocked one made in 1969. Nice shooter too. So tonight a state trooper shows up at the house looking for the rifle, it had been reported stolen. The owner came home from a 3 week vacation and then reported 3 or 4 stolen...
