Thanks guys, appreciate the feed back. Look forward to hearing somethng from Steve. Wincherster copycat confusion.
Guys I have been out of the game for some time. When I was last involved with weapons other than Bows and Arrows, Winchester was still in full production, the only comparable alternative was Marlin and stupidly I never bought a Browning '71. My dillema is that so many of the new available lever guns...

My infant boys are yet to move in social circles I can't control but the dangers ahead terrify me. As a dad I think I can understand, at least in part.
The next hugs I give my sons will be with your son in my thoughts. You and your family have my deepest sympathy.

Guys very excited about Winchester releasing or re-releasing many new levers in different configurations. In particular the 1886...Now I would love one in 45/70 but would this action handle the .348 Winchester round if a custom job was considered? Will it handle those 40K pressures or is there a bet...

TEDDY’S NEW BIG MEDICINE Teddy Roosevelt took a Winchester model 1895 lever action rifle, chambered in the .405 Winchester cartridge to Africa to hunt dangerous animals. AND it's not belted. Why Marlin went the belted route is beyond me. They should have taken a leaf out of Ruger's book with their new and EXCELLENT magnums.
I'm hoping for the possibility of BLR conversion in the .375Ruger or .416 Ruger.
