I have 16 inch Puma in .45 Colt that shoots way low with heavy bullet loads. My loads used a 300gr BRP hard cast bullet, at "Ruger" pressures. They were not nearly as accurate as standard pressure loads with a 255gr Keith bullet.

I don't know when mine was built, it's a pre-safety 1894c, but it's never given me any problems and is accurate enough that I'm tempted to mount a high power scope to found out just how accurate it is.

Cabela's has the stainless version of the Judge on sale, they were going out of there like free money. I saw 4 of them get bought while I was there.
