I went over to my folks' place last night and my mom made my favorite dinner and dessert. I'm blessed to be able to share my birthday with my wife and son as well as my folks.

UPDATE

I pursued the wily albacore tuna last weekend and plugged the boat!
I used fairly light salmon gear, which was ALMOST too light for these pelagic rockets!
Fresh sashimi Sunday and oh, did I mention the 3 limits of crab?

I got her home and the ad was no exaggeration! The bluing is amazing and the wood is very good, bordering on excellent. She has the model info on the side of the receiver, a la one of the previous pics. Serial number starts with an "M", so what's the DOM? Also, she's D&T for a receiver...

My Weatherby .30-06 shoots much more accurately with higher velocity loads. Standard velocity (2700 f/sec) gives me significant groups. MV approaching 2900 f/sec with 180 gr. Partitions gives me itty bitty groups and complete pass-through shots on bull elk.
