Re: 22 RIMFIRE FAVORITES
A 9422 Winchester will shoot ANY 22LR ammo as good as it is capable of. Moreover it will pull the case out so you can see if there is a bullet and then it will put it right back. The only thing better is that a 92 will EJECT the case and close the action without ramping a live round. The 1890- 06- 6...

Re: Puma/Legacy 454
I'm just saying that load is as far as .45 Colt can go. Case is nearly full, longer bullet would reduce load, faster powder ruins cases and cuts bullets. Ace

Re: Puma/Legacy 454
My 250 gr bullets chrono at 1850fps if that is not enough, it is just about all .45 Colt can do. If you do the math it is a LOT of energy. Ace

Re: Puma/Legacy 454
There IS data for hotrodding a .45....lots of it. Much safer in a 92. Look for loads with slow powders to maximize the long barrel. My 250 gr bullets chrono at 1850...no leading. Ace

Re: Puma/Legacy 454
Put a pin through the front tube carrier. You will loose 2 rounds capacity. Still 10 under a 24 inch barrel. The .454 needs a heavy barrel for accuracy, but the octagon is thinner over the chamber than the carbine barrel. Ace

Re: Puma 92 magazine problem
If you get a load that is wildly inaccurate, it is probably gas cutting the bullet. Think slower powder, gas checks, harder alloy. If it is an Interarms Rossi, you might have an oversized bore. Get a bigger bullet. I shoot .454s in a couple of mine and one requires .457 45-70 bullets. Ace

Re: Puma 92 magazine problem
Once the retaining screw jumps out of its divet, it will jump easier each time. Heavy loads with fast powder is the cause. If you try out a load, don't do it with a full magazine. I eventually had to pin through the front carrier. Problem solved. Lost 2 rounds of capacity in .45. The .454 has the tu...

Here is what I learned about HPs, Noslers are soft with a lot of exposed lead. Great for 38SP .45Colt But tends to disintegrate with something hot like .357 or .44 mag. Hornady XTP is fantastic with a hot load...a little expensive and wasted on 38SP 9mm ect. Raineer Balistics PLATED HPs are VERY ine...

Many of you have mentioned the oaths you took. Read Mathew 5:33. I think Jesus was against oaths because it bound you to a promise regardless of morality. I think it interesting that in this seperation of church and state mentality, the only time they haul a Bible out is to do something that Jesus v...
