Re: Allen Taylor Aug. 1922 - Dec. 2011
Jim, I was pleased to know Allen Taylor for a short time in 80-81. He provided me with the equipment, and instruction, to load and shoot the first rounds I loaded myself. I don't have a record of how many rounds I made with his homemade bullet mold, a lead dipper made from a galvanized elbow and a p...

Just to clarify. H335 data is used for the WC844? (with the noted 10% reduction and work up clause)

Re: WC844 SURPLUS POWDER
When I saw the post I was hoping someone would mention load data. I emailed Widener's asking where to find data and have not received a response.
Anyone know if data might be on the jug like I found on the 2230C I bought last decade?

Re: Rossi M92 question - reason for cartridge discoloration?
Chas. you are correct. I have dabbled with Ruger-level loads in my Rossi and still get the smoked cases.

Lyman Tang Sight question
Merry Christmas all. I finally put a Lyman tang sight on my Rossi 92 45c. (after winning the pistol caliber long range match at End of Trail this year I figured the rifle deserved a better sight :D ) My intent is to shoot Silhouette with it again. So I need some brainstorming ideas on marking, or re...

Re: OT - CZ-75B vs Browning Hi-Power
I have 2 BHPs. As soon as I can get tritium sights, and an approved holster, the .40 will ride the duty belt replacing the 1911. Nearly every Deputy I've handed the Browning to has commented favorably on how it feels and how it shoots. I have'nt owned a CZ only for lack of money. I've seen alot of t...

Re: POLITICS - Gov Palin's Debate
Gov. Palin did well, many of us were in her camp. But Gwen did not bring the things that many accused her of. The system works, but we must let it happen; all in all a good evening. We would not have seen this in other countries. As I mentioned in my post, I don't know Ifil and was willing to be co...

Re: POLITICS - Gov Palin's Debate
Governor Palin will do fine. Biden will be called the winner. Very few minds will be changed either way. It won't happen, but I would like to see Gov. Palin set the tone by complimenting Ms. Ifil on her book and asking for an autographed copy. There are times when you have to take the initiative awa...

Re: OT: Something I haven't yet read about Palin
"Palin is not only "pro-life" in word, she is in deed as well. When informed her last child had a genetic birth defect (Downs syndrome) she had the baby anyway - the only thing someone can do who believes is her heart and soul that the child is indeed a life and a human being already ...

Big Bear,
Also check out the Savage 99 Campfire. I recall seeing some posts that talk about bedding the forearm.
