Way OT - Just in case you guys aren't paying attention

Fresno State (CA) just won the College World Series, beating Georgia 6-1 in the final game.
I just hope the team plane can find the way home through the smoke. We are pretty much on fire.

If its a 38-55, its a 336CB. This is a real classic. They didn't make very many of the 336 cowboys. Some in 30-30 and some in 38-55. $700 has got to be a good price.

I'm not sure what this is about. I bought a rifle at auction last month. It arrived at my ffl from a pawn shop in Oregon with no problems.
The seller has to be an FFL, which is a pain but not new.

I think the Alliant data looks reasonable. RL 7 is a pretty fast powder and RL 15 is much slower. As you would expect, RL 7 gives good velocity with the 125 gr Sierra but the RL 15 has much better velocity with the 150 and 170 gr bullets. RL 15 is even better when using a longer barrel because the s...

The deer in my neighborhood are all armor plated. Nothing but the latest Big *** Magnum will even scratch them.

But seriously, the 110 HP from Sierra would kill a deer ok, but would really tear it up. It is a light jacketed HP. This issue isn't the weight so much as the bullet construction.

I agree that that 110 gr bullets from a 30-30 are not appropriate for deer size animals. The Sierra 110 HPs are varmint bullets.
Sierra 125 HP and Speer 130 FN are the lightest big game bullets I would use in a 30-30.
