Re: Always a good day when my uncle stops by!

My dad has one too, a bit bigger and a D cell battery fits the bore perfectly. We used to take them down to my uncles beach and shoot all kinds of stuff out into the lake. Somebody would probably call the SWAT team these days, but we had a lot of fun with those things. Especially when he and my dad ...

Cool to set that off. What kind of treasures have you found in the reloading supplies, bet you have alot of fond memories when you go through it.. Lots of good stuff. Always a good day when my uncle stops by!

My dad's older brother has been planning on selling his place on Lake Erie for a couple years and moving south to be with all my cousins year round. They put out the real estate sign yesterday. He's been giving me all his old ammo and whatever reloading components and equipment he still had lying ar...

I bought two of those several years ago, keep one at our cabin and the other usually travels with me when I go hunting/ shooting. Well made and holding up quite well. Might just get another one. :D

That's a rifle I wouldn't mind having. It's too bad the .222 Remington has all but disappeared. I have an older Sako that will put 5 rounds into a nickel sized group at 100 yds if I do my part. It's been my woodchuck/ varmint rifle since I was a teenager. Good luck bagging the Remington! jb 8)

My dad has an Officers Model Match and I believe it was his first handgun. It's also the first revolver I started shooting when I was a kid. Just my opinion, but it looks like it's been refinished. Especially if you look closely at the markings on the barrel, not as sharp as they should be. The box also looks like a reproduction. Just hard to believe that there is absolutely no wear and tear to a 113 year old paper and cardboard box. Jus...

Pete,

Still have the box too!. :D

I picked up this stainless MKII in November. It shoots great and works perfectly. It came with a kinda funky set of target grips that I really didn't care for on this pistol. Depends on how far you want to drag the hog. I’ll take a true rifle round over a handgun round as it’s likely to anchor the critter quicker with equal shot placement. What he said! The bigger the better, I haven't used anything smaller than a .33WCF on a boar and haven't had to chase any either. Fa...
