Doc AJ, my grandson has had a Kel Tec 2000 for several years. I do enjoy shooting it, never a malfunction and is very accurate out to 200 yards. It is a keeper with several long mags.

Thanks Earl, I reckon that I will be checking some cases today. Most all of my .38 and .357 brass has been through a Marlin and Rossi rifles and 3 handguns.

I just can't imagine carrying a self defense firearm in a back pack in country that has bear attack every elk season in known bear country. Sorry for the families.

That is a real fine looking single shot, should make a great rifle for big red fox squirrels. Around here old long barreled single shot .22 rifles are priced out of reach, at least for me.

When I started shooting black powder in 1967 my friend that made my rifle and pistol took me to a fabric store. We started looking at different cotton and linen material and he pull out a micrometer and said it needed to 15 thousand thick no more and no less. Sometimes we could find a material calle...

It would seem to me from my old black powder days that having to pound a ball down the barrel that you probably have a ball that is to big. Could be that the patch is to thick. Just an old man's thoughts.

Kirk, my wife said the quilt is beautiful like I said about the rifle. She wants to know if your wife did it. We have several that are over 100 years old and a bunch that she has made.

My 1951 Winchester 94 has a Marble's tang sight on it. Had it put on in 1958, when I called them to get a insert in different size they told me my sight was classed as an antique. that's why I couldn't find one from midway or Brownels, they sent one to me free of charge.
