Re: 45 Colt
I did quite a bit of unscientific testing a few years ago with my Winchester Trails End 45 Colt and settled on a bullet from the LEE 300 gr. mold. It has a HUGE meplat and plenty of weight. Shot into wet phone books, it left an unbelievable channel of uniform diameter very deep. Lots more damage th...

Just out of curiosity(sp), what are the hornets "problems".
Only problem with mine is that I don't get to shoot it enough.

It was probably destine to live its life in the box if you hadn't bought it.
Keep us posted on how it shoots.

The best way is going to be the .22.
Do your parents live in the city or a rural area?
If in the city the cci cb longs will do the trick.
Just don't let Game and Parks see ya doing it. We do have a rabbit season. Wouldn't want to have them ruin your trip.![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

1895- first time at the range
Took my new to me 1895 to the range yesterday. Didn't have any reloads made up yet, but I really needed to fire this gun. Used 405 gr Black Hills Ammo. Started with a 3 shot, and then a 5 shot group, both at 50 yards. Will get some of Ranch Dogs bullets cast and put some Benchmark behind them and se...

First Marlin
Just bought my first Marlin. It's a 1895. Was wondering what year of manufacture is. Serial #B0058xx. Will have pics and range report as soon as weather clears.
