H&R 1871 Buffalo Classic
Do any you guys have experience with the H&R buffalo Classic 45-70 rifle? It looks like cheap fun but could be the most brutal thing I've ever owned. I have no idea.

I once had a Pedersoli lightning rife in 45 Colt and it was a pain in the rear. I don't think that the actions are very strong at all.

My 25-20 was made in 1924 and has the rivet looking thing. My 32-20 was made in 1928 and has it too. Beats me.

One of you guys should really consider buying this gun, you'll probably be sorry if you don't. The price is incredibly fair let alone the tang sight that is worth a small fortune on its own.

I would try
1 the American Legion and VFW. Ask for a cash donation and if you can put a can in the bar.
2 all gun and sporting goods stores.

I just pulled one of mine apart and the extractor makes full contact with the cartridge. I think yours is just worn out. I would buy a new one.

The detent plunger on the floor plate was stuck from dried oil. An easy fix. The rifle had sat for over 20 years and I was too lazy to take it apart and clean it. It's a 7-30 with a 24 inch barrel and is in pristine condition other than dried oil. I know what I'm doing tonight. Thank you very much. ...
