Re: OT - Old Single Action - Pics added

Large BC gaps can be dangerous, especially to bystanders.

I shot a S&W 1917 with excess BC gap a few weeks ago and had to dig a piece of copper jacket out of my left ear. The forcing cone was boogered up and shaved a piece of copper off that flew backwards. Bled like a stuck pig.

I'm not sure I'm saving anything if I count the cost of my time I spend reloading. (Even figuring minimum wage. Yikes!) The big plus for me is the fantastic tailored accuracy I can dial in for each rifle and pistol. 8)

I loades 200 rounds last weekend. The Hornady manual includes load data for their .312 150gr SP. If the 7.62X39 is too slow for t...

OT - Cost of Shotgun Shells

Is the current cost of shotgun ammo about the same regardless of caliber? In other words, is a box of 12ga, 20ga or 410 bore about the same for a box of 25? Is any particular gauge usually lower cost?

Thinking of getting a shotgun and the cost of ammo will be a factor.

Thanks!
