I've shot Remington UMC 38 Special lead round nose ammo over the past three years in my Marlin 1894C without any problems.

If the scope is a regular eye relief riflescope, and not a longer eye relief scout or pistol scope, then the Weaver one-piece rail the fits all Marlin 336/1895/1894 will do,...
