If you have a Dive shop in your area they have a product called "sink the stink". They use it to get the odor of urine out of wet suits. I used this in my basement and it worked well.

I just got a piece of scrap bar stock brass 3/4" X 1/4" X 12" at the local metal supply store and used a file to fit it and finished it with some 220 grit sand paper. I did both rifles. It took about an hour each and cost $1.50. and I still have about 8" left.John

I just bought a Marlin 1895 guide gun in 45-70. Today I bought a Limb Saver pad but it didn't fit well. It's a bit under sized on the sides. I'll take it back tomorrow. So what do you recommend for a softer pad? Thank you John
