I remember when the Texas Longhorn guns were first getting some press. Seems Bill Grover figured Sam Colt must have been a lefty, thus designed his gun to be loaded without shifting it from his shooting hand. Grover decided it was time to make one for right-handers! :D

Having lost one kidney to cancer and being protective of the remaining one, my doctors tell me that opioids are the only "safe" painkillers I can take. As for acetaminophen -- no way. Ibuprofen is okay -- for exactly ONE tablet per day. Fortunately, I have no chronic pain problems.

I would feel perfectly comfortable with any 170 gr. softpoint from Remington, Hornady, Speer or Sierra -- basically, whatever I could find locally. At .30-30 velocities, the standard cup-and-core style bullet not only works, but gives just about the best performance you could hope for.
