Re: Our daughter is in Alaska today!!

I flew out of Dillingham AK for 3 years and have made many trips to Togiak. There is very little there. Haven't stayed there for almost 20 years, but back then there was no motel. If you got weathered in you had to stay in the old water tower they converted to living quarters. I doubt there is much ...

I flew the Goose out of DUT from 8/98 to 8/03 then flew the Saab 340 in and out of there for the next 12 years. We lost the turbine Goose just before I got hired and then after I moved to town they crashed a couple more. Nobody hurt on the last 2, but hard to see that happen to such amazing aircraft...

Cool rifle! I have a soft spot for the half round barrel Winchesters. If everything measures out correct I suspect someone has messed with the takedown flange itself. Hard to tell without one right next to it to compare. However, maybe someone has cleaned up (repaired with a file or re-cut) the half-cock notch and removed a little too much material. That might explain why it looks better then the other notch. Just a guess, but who knows.

If you have a full length mag. then just drill and tap a hole in the mag. tube ring and into the mag. Then put a screw in it. If it's far enough forward it should cause no problems with the mag. and will hold your tube tight. Works well on mine. No problems with the heavy loads.
