My ultrasonic bath is big enough to take my 5 1/2 in barreled stainless Old Armys. I set the heat to 30C, add a spoonfull of Micro, remove the grips and dump them in. In the time it takes to neck a couple of cans of London Pride they look like they just left the factory.

The 38-40 round uses large pistol primers. The firing pin retractor should be fitted with the slope at the bottom running downwards towards the back of the bolt.

Thanks for the advice. I can push the ejector back into the bolt but the extractor is very hard to move. Looks like I will have to dismantle it. I've stripped and reassembled an original Winchester 1886 before and am hoping the Browning is similar.
